Second verse, same as the first
Nov. 8th, 2011 07:18 pmI spent another weekend mostly weeding. I made significant progress in the front yard and the vegetable beds, though the rest of the back yard is practically a war zone. I did manage to get a few more things in the ground. I planted my last two winter cabbages, six Camellia sinensis (tea) shrubs, and a pink-flowering ume tree to keep my sakura company. (It's a really small tree, though, so I don't know if it will actually flower this spring.)
As a result of all this outdoor time, I've developed quite the farmer's tan, which is kind of funny considering it's November.

Date: 2011-11-10 12:00 am (UTC)The winter should be mild enough here for the ume...I just hope it's not TOO mild. I didn't research whether it has a particular chilling requirement. I guess I'll find out in a few months.
