First day of puppy school

spacealien_vampMy flight went quite well on Monday, and I checked into my hotel without any trouble. It's conveniently located near a shopping area, so I was able to pick up some basic utensils and microwave meals.
It turns out that I'm not going to be the only one in the class after all. They took advantage of the week delay to add another person from Detroit to the class. It must have been rough for her, having barely a week to prepare. There is also another member of the class from outside CBP who is visiting from the Cayman Islands.
The two of us from CBP have three dogs with which we will be working. We got to meet them today, one by one. By the end of next week, we should each be assigned a primary dog, and we will share the third as a backup dog. We have been encouraged to take lots of pictures, so I'll probably be able to post something next week when we start training with the dogs. (This week will mostly be slide presentations and book work.)

There are many more dogs at the center, they're just not assigned to our class.
