There were lots of surprises today. Courtney and Albert fixed a special dinner you would have loved: four cheese mashed potatoes, and a lasagna type casserole with plenty of cheese. Okay, so you wouldn't have loved the spinach in the casserole, but it was buried at the bottom and would have been easy to pick around. There was also cranberry sauce.
For supper we had bean tamales made by a lady in town.
Bob got me two calendars of the kind that have individual square pages for each day of the year. One was an "Origami" version and the other was a "Kirigami" version. There are colored square pages with directions on each day. You either fold the origami one or fold and cut the kirigami one. He says I don't have to wait until 2005 to use it.
We went dancing last night, so that was fun. The rest of the weekend we're grading papers. This Wednesday is the end of the first quarter.
I forgot to say that Joseph called from Mackinac Island to wish me a happy day, and that Rob gave me a gift certificate to a local spa that gives massages or reflexology or facials or a whole variety of services.
