Technically, the last day of school is tomorrow. However, the closing ceremony was today. Tomorrow they're having the official ceremony to transfer the school over to Ritsumeikan.

I won't be there, though, because I took the day off so I can go visit [livejournal.com profile] wednesday_10_00 and [livejournal.com profile] mereflair for the weekend.

Starting next week, the school enters its two-week spring break. ...Unfortunately, it appears that only the students get a break, not the teachers. I'm told that I'm expected to show up for work every single day, unless I want to use up my vacation time. I was hoping that someone would pipe up and say, "You don't have any reason to be here, so why don't you just stay home for two weeks"...but it doesn't look likely. <sigh> I guess that means I have two more weeks of sitting at my desk for eight hours with nothing to do and no internet connection.

It's like being on a long road trip, but with leg room.

The schedule says that they're going to be bringing in the new computers next week, but we won't be able to use them right away because we still have to do the annual desk-shuffling. It's possible the computers will be set up and ready to use by April 3rd.

I wish the school were going to be wired in time for Sprng break. Can you read at your desk? Can you DRAW at your desk? *cough*Sasai*cough*

Can you read at your desk?

I could...if I had any books left to read. I've already gone through all the ones I currently own, thanks to having a total of about eight classes the entire month of March. Plus I finished HTML-ing the Kanata Kara translation and fixing the typos in the Hunter X Hunter musical subtitle. That's not to mention seam-ripping a chest full of kimono, painting a bunch of flowers, and designing a background for a potential Eikoku Youitan summary page.

Can you DRAW at your desk? *cough*Sasai*cough*

There is that...

What does everyone do?

All the other teachers use their accumulated vacation time, because they lose it at the end of March otherwise. So I'll probably be pretty lonely there.

I wish I could take one of my kimono fabric sewing projects to work on...but the supplies are overwhelming.

But have fun this weekend anyway!!

I'll do my best!

So when are you coming over? Or is that classified undetermined?

So when are you coming over?

I need to wash dishes before I leave, and then stop at the bank. I also want to be sure to remember to update my manga shopping list. So...I'll probably take off somewhere around lunchtime?

So you'll probably get here before me? That'll freak Choco out. (Just a warning: she might cry a lot at you, because I usually feed her right when I get home from work.)

Also, you should spend your upcoming free time working on the Koori drama CD project. Somebody at [livejournal.com profile] koori_theory was asking if there's a translation available.

Oh, yes, I was going to suggest that too. I didn't say anything about the drama CD translation project in answer to her question because I wasn't sure if you wanted it shared around.

Good luck choosing a project!

I don't really mind if it's shared. The thing is, since it's not finished, I want people to KNOW it's not finished. So I've kind of adopted the policy of "well, if you want to send a copy of the unfinished version to a friend, go ahead, but I'm not personally going to advertise it yet."

I can start working on it next week.
