You are STILL not prepared!
Jul. 2nd, 2014 06:44 pmI tried to get things accomplished this weekend. I started out by pruning the summer raspberries and arranging a net over the blackberries to block the birds. That, however, was about the extent of what I managed to work on in the yard, because I had something much more immediate luring me back to the computer.
I received a beta invite for the latest expansion of World of Warcraft, which opened on Friday afternoon. After getting a token amount of work done in the garden, I settled down in front of my monitor to load up the game and try it out.
As a beta version, it still has a lot of placeholders and bugs. One of the biggest problems was a bug that kept freezing and disconnecting the players every couple of minutes, which impeded progress to a ridiculous degree. That made it frustrating, but it also contributed to keeping me glued to the computer, because I constantly felt that I needed to get just a bit more done before I would be in a good place to pause.
I did tear myself away from the game long enough to have a dinner and board game night with my neighbors. That's more than I would have been able to do several years ago...
