Going places
Feb. 3rd, 2013 08:20 pmIt has been quite an eventful week. On Thursday night, my parents and I went out to the theater to watch a Rifftrax showing, which was quite a treat. Then on Friday, my uncle came over to visit, and we all went out to dinner in Palo Alto with some friends of my parents.
We went to Berkeley Saturday morning to walk around the campus with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
mangaroo. We got to see the city from the top of the bell tower, learn facts about fossils, and my parents even burst into spontaneous dance along with some of the students. We ended at a game shop that had a lot of tempting merchandise.
As one of the last projects before my parents leave, my dad put the final touches on the pergola and used the remaining flagstones to build me a path from the pergola to the deck. I think it really sets off the yard nicely. It should look even better once the fruit trees are in bloom.
I took advantage of the nice weather today to plant my spring vegetables. If all goes well, I will have plenty of carrots, beets, turnips, parsnips, and cabbage, among other things.
