Shopping spree

Yesterday I went shopping for some things to take to Japan. I got a number of small gifts to bring for the main People in Charge, plus a couple of vegetarian cookbooks that were on sale at Waldenbooks. (Buying cookbooks is such a nasty habit. But the pictures are so pretty...) I will still need to buy a load of cheese to take with me, but I'm waiting to do that until just before I leave.

While I was out, I got my hair cut. The apron/bib thingy they put on me was black, so with my hair all spritzed down, when I looked in the mirror I resembled Snape. Of course, this is without my glasses on, so I was a very blurry Snape.

Then in the evening there was a message for me from the consulate in Detroit saying they had some questions about my visa application. ^_^; I'm supposed to call back today. I hope there isn't anything seriously wrong.
