spacealien_vampA strong earthquake hit Niigata today, during which a number of buildings collapsed and landslides have covered roads. I don't know if this will make international news, but it did last time. I thought I should post to reassure everyone that I'm nowhere near the earthquake location.
For reference, here is the map that I posted the last time this happened, showing where Niigata is in relation to where I am. I live far enough away that I didn't even feel it. I just heard about it when I turned on the TV to watch the news.
