Summer Break: Week Two

megory has pretty much gotten most of her Christmas presents for this year. Now the question is whether they will all fit in her suitcase to bring back, or if she will have to mail some.
On one of our shopping trips, we stopped at a home/garden store, where I worked on raising my skill with two-handed maces. I even got a picture on my cell phone, but I'll have to dig up the cord to connect the phone to my computer before I can post it.
When we weren't shopping, we were working on making a vest to match the skirt we did last week. There were a few blunders along the way...for example, the directions never said when to flip the vest/lining right side out, so by the time we got around to it, we wound up with a pair of unflippable tubes around the armholes and had to rip out some seams to correct the problem.megory did most of the work on the vest, spending long hours out in the heat at the kitchen table. The finished product really looks great.
wednesday_10_00 is on her way here. Unfortunately, she missed the last shinkansen headed this way, so she's taking an overnight bus. In the morning, we'll pick her up, and then we're all taking off on a two-week trip to Hokkaido and Tokyo.
