<scratches head in bewilderment> But then it's misleading. Why not just *say* your favorite pairing to begin with? Why be all high and mighty about it? Plus, there are some series with lots of different pairs that are equally likely, and just because I enjoy a certain one or don't feel like reading about the others, that doesn't make it a One True anything. Instead, it puts me in mind of disputes where people staunchly uphold one particular pair and denigrate anyone who disagrees, and that's just not fun.
And what about pairings that aren't mutually exclusive? Let's say you think Hermione should end up with Ron and Harry should end up with Ginny, and that's what you want to read about. So then do you have Two True Pairings?
