Three days of this and that

spacealien_vampI took advantage of the three day weekend to hole up in my living room as much as possible.
Still, I had practically nothing in my refrigerator after coming back from vacation, so I had to go out shopping. While I was at the nearest department store, I found exactly the kind of chest I was looking for--made to hold kerosene containers, with a lid that locks. The drawback--the store wasn't actually selling it. They were only using it to hold extra stock. I asked if they could order it, but I heard back that the maker doesn't have any left. <sigh> I guess I'll have to keep looking. In the meantime, I'll keep my kerosene in the house. >_<
On the up side, I found mint chocolate chip ice cream popsicles at the grocery store. I had only seen them in Chiba before. I bought a box just to show them there's a market for it...not that I need to eat ice cream in winter. I'll have to eat them while bundled up in blankets, since I really need the freezer space for other things. But if it means I have a choice of flavors other than green tea and red bean, then it's worth it.
