Catching up

It was unusually warm yesterday. So what did I do? Did I take advantage of the weather to go out and get some fresh air?

*sporfle* Yeah, right.

I used the weekend mainly to catch up on a bunch of TV shows and movies I've been putting off watching, venturing outside only to pick up a few groceries.

I also snapped one more requested photo:

This is my food processor being used to grate ginger for making Spicy Potatoes. Of all the appliances I've gotten, I think this is the least useful. ^_^; The problem is that, if you take into account the time required to clean the darn thing after using it, it isn't very efficient, particularly for small quantities. In most cases, it's quicker to chop or mix whatever it is by hand, or use the blender, which has fewer pieces to wash.

It looks as if the blade is up top on that model - is that correct? If you can fit it with a lower blade, you can put detergent and water into the thing, turn it on, and let mostly clean itself. Use less water than you think, and add as necessary.

Most of the blades are at the top, though there are two that are low. I'll have to try that trick next time I use one of them.

Always glad to give help with appliances...

... does that make me middle aged? o_O
