I would model, but it's cold...

I finished the matching square dance skirt. Now all that's left to work on is the blouse to go with it.

All I have to say is, I'm glad I bought two spools of thread. Yeesh. Frills really go through a lot.

Wow! It's unbelievably gorgeous!

It takes a lot of patience to do all that gathering. The lace really sets that off. Those colors are captivating. That is a beautiful skirt. It is going to look so cool accompanying the guy wearing the shirt you made. They are my favorite colors, AND the flowers remind me of Hawai'i and the Aloha spirit.

What a masterpiece.

Love,
Mom

Dang. When did you get so good at sewing? Are you just good at everything you do? It's a good thing I love you so much, or I'd hate you.

Also, is it that cold there? It's like 70 here.

A) It was a simple pattern, and B) you didn't see me last night when I realized (after running the gathering stitches through the ruffle) that I had pinned the lace on inside-out. ^_^; I had to take it apart and do it all over again.

Plus, it's all in the name of practice. I'm determined to get that backpack done right.

It was about 60 this morning, though now it's warmed up to about 69.
