Wait, so what time is it, again?

I arrived in San Francisco Friday afternoon without incident (though the security officers were suspicious that I had two laptops) where I was picked up by mangaroo. During the drive back to her apartment in Berkeley, I was incredibly glad I wouldn't be commuting to work by car.

Saturday, she took me for a walk around the neighborhood to show me where the nearest BART station was located. It's right in the middle of a convenient cluster of such things as a post office, library, and half a dozen different ethnic restaurants. I'll be using the public transportation system for commuting to work while I'm here. On Monday I'll be going to a special orientation day at the customs office in downtown SF, so I bought my ticket in advance.

Note for megory: My new pajamas are sooooo comfortable, I want to wear them all the time.

The rest of the day I spent either reading or playing my Death Knight in between beta server restarts. Just before I went to bed last night, I finally got to level 68, which is when I should be able to start questing in the new expansion area, Northrend.

I'm so glad your jammies are comfy. They're so cute, besides.

Berkeley is awesome. Thank heavens for mass transit... and for convenient centers with ethnic restaurants. It sounds like heaven to me.

It has been my pleasure. Watching s_vamp start a new job is almost as much fun as starting one myself. I'm a barrel of questions, to which her usual response is "you'll know when I know." Otherwise, she sits quietly in the kitchen playing WoW while I sit quietly in the living room playing Sims.

Who could ask for more? There's so much new to learn, a little bit at a time. It's just wonderful that you are there for her to help with the transition. And being able to play WoW and Sims, to boot!

I admit, I'm spending a lot of time on the computer. It's hard to get up the energy to do much else, though, what with all the big changes.

I do plan to post manga and novel reviews for this month, though if that helps...

Hmmm...somehow I thought that explanation would take longer. (Let me point out that if you were out here for the convention that shall not be named, I wouldn't touch The Sims all weekend...on account of there wouldn't be room in my apartment to get to the computer.)

(I think LJ is delusional under the impression that they can come up with some incentive for users to get paid accounts that will somehow trump icon slots.)

It's only been a couple of weeks. And I just made it to level 70, so I was able to buy myself a flying mount. Death Knights level quickly.
