One for the money, two for the show, three to get ready...

My luggage was carried off without any problems yesterday. It should be awaiting my arrival at the airport.

I had a dentist appointment Saturday afternoon for a cleaning. The weather had turned cold and damp, with heavy clouds. Once I got home, I was determined not to step outside again unless I had to.

I spent all of today lounging in my PJs, organizing the last of my manga from my shopping spree and playing on my computer while the laundry was going in the background. I opened the door a short while ago when a newspaper salesman rang. (He took one look at me and knew better than to try selling me anything.) There was snow on the ground for the first time this season.

Snow! Well at least it's something to show for the cold you have to endure...

Have a safe flight, and thank you for all your interesting insights into Japanese life! I look forward to any more you offer in the new year.

I'm so glad you won't have to lug the luggage around, and I hope everything runs smoothly from here on out. What an amazon effort to get everything done ahead of time. You deserved the lounging time.

What a smart newspaper salesman. Others have tended to ignore all the clues.

We have snow on the ground here, too. And the houses are decorated rather nicely. The bushes looked so pretty with the lights hushed by the snow cover to just a glow.

We can hardly wait!
