Your shower looks decently sized, but why is the drain hole on the floor right in the middle?

You'll have to ask the Australians about that. I spent a lot of the time aiming the shower head at the wall so the water wouldn't splash out on the floor. (My second hotel's shower looked similar, but only had a curtain rather than a glass enclosure.)
