I don't see why, though. It's only about $15 for the kerosene and can combined, and the gas station is only two blocks away. They can't be THAT desperate. I'm sure they only took it because it would be so easy to get away with it. They may even have assumed that I had moved back to America for good.
There are no fumes being given off from the container, are there?
Not from the container, no, it closes pretty well. It's just that I always manage to drip some when siphoning it from the can to my stove's tank.
Do you want an air purification device (the ionizer/ozone generator?)
No, that's not necessary. I'm hoping that I'll be able to dig up a lockable chest within the next couple of weeks. I'm sure a home goods store would have one, I just haven't tried yet because the nearest one is quite a distance away.
